What is a Narrator ?

A narrative is a term to describe \”story telling\”. The narrator is the character in the story that sets the point of view for the whole story. The story is told from that character’s perspective.

A first-person narration is a story about something that happened to the narrator. You can identify this kind of narration because of the use of “I”, “me” or “my” as the story is told. This kind of story allows the reader to know how the main character feels, thinks and understands situations. The author allows the reader to “pull it in close” to have a personal experience of the story.
